This truly is one time that I hope “Mr.” Barrack Obama
acts like the blank that I know he is! He
better not go into Vladimir Putin’s face acting all righteous and puffed up right now. He just needs to let President Putin sweep this under the rug for now, and kick Turkey a few times here and there until they get the point of what they just did.
If you think about it strategically, this will make sense. Those planes “COULDN’T” respond to warnings or orders to divert. They would not have been able to break radio silence or formation until cleared or ordered by their
mission commander or CAG.
The planes that are responsible for conducting high
value air to ground missions or sorties move very fast.
And although films like Top Gun make these aircraft
look as though they fight really close together, real
air combat missions and/or maneuvers can take up to
hundreds of square miles. Add to that a mission
requiring a stealth approach and your route just got
real big.
These jets most likely entered Turkish airspace only to
get from one place to another. Most likely to or from a
bombing run. Turkey would have known exactly what they
were doing. They would have been flying low and fast,
they would have held formation, maintained silence, and
simply tried to just get through quietly.
Turkey got stupid. They got loud and belligerent. And
they are acting all puffed like they didn’t know…
protecting our airspace.. Turkey needs to
just sit down, be quiet, and hope Russia doesn’t come
kick their butts real quick just to tell them to knock
that st** off!
